Register for Goosapalooza 2026: Our Animal Activism Convergence
Every year, Pro-Animal Future brings activists from across the country together for a multi-week convergence centered on a single campaign. This year, it’s all about ending the force-feeding of ducks and geese in the District of Columbia.
Dates: April 13 through May 31, 2026
Location: Washington, D.C.
Housing & meals: Provided free for participating activists
Commitment: We ask for a weekly average of 7 or more shifts, with each shift lasting 2 to 3 hours. Stay for a weekend, a full week, or the entire seven weeks.

How Petitioning Shifts Work
Who can petition? Anyone! You don’t need to be a U.S. citizen to collect signatures. To sign the affidavit as primary circulator, you must be 18 years old by Election Day (November 5, 2026). Younger volunteers can petition as long as a D.C. resident 18 or older witnesses signatures and signs their affidavit. There’s always an eligible adult at each shift, making this a great opportunity for teens interested in political activism in D.C. and leadership opportunities in the animal rights movement.
Need community service hours? Pro-Animal Future is a 501(c)(4) organization, but our campaign director can sign off on court-ordered community service hours for volunteers by request.
Ready to Make History for Animals?
If enough activists join us this spring, we can get this initiative onto the ballot and win a landmark victory for farmed animals in DC.
